Achieving your Look...

Yes - design and art is all in the look! Behind that, of course, it takes in-depth training and know-how coupled with a sense of style and a keen eye for color. Not always things you learn from a book. Each person possesses his or her own style which, in turn, creates their unique Look. This comes from within, not without.

This section of pages, was created to assist the casual artist in accomplishing certain looks which they may not know exactly how to acheive. As you have seen, if you followed the links to get here, we offer elements for PaintShop Pro and PhotoShop, Vector Shapes compatible with many graphics programs and suggestions on filters and technique. All, of which, are designed to assist you in finding your unique style, or, look.

It has been proposed that, in the near future, it is hoped that we will be making tutorials available for specific projects. Keep checking our site updates for when this is planned to transpire.

On this page, we have uploaded some mask images. They are all in jpg format. As you know, any image in black and white or shades of gray is usable as a mask. These images are all original art and, as such, are subject to the same rules and limitations of use, under our Terms of Use, that all art and design of our entire site is subject to. For those who do not know how; to save an image as a mask in PaintShop Pro, simply open the desired image in PaintShop Pro and minimize it. Open a new image of the same dimensions (you may increase or decrease in size from the original, however, be sure to do the math so that the mask will not be distorted) and fill a new layer with any color. Go to Mask/New/From Image. In the drop down box, choose the name of the original image and apply - make certain that Invert is not checked. Then, save it as a mask in the program. Ta-da! There you have it.
