Please spend a few moments reviewing our Terms of Use
You have, no doubt, seen portions of this text in other forms all around the internet.
We feel that it bears repeating.
Those of us who would attempt to convince others not to take our images
and claim them as their own creations and not to use our products for
their own profit.
We will remind you that these images belong to us.
They are our products, our property, either intellectual or otherwise, and you simply
cannot have them.
Online Group-owners wishing to offer any of our files in a group setting
must obtain permission before doing so! This can be managed through e-mail, of course.
We are aware of the tedium involved in reading the following terms of use.
We apologize that it is just so necessary.
However, we have to make certain that we have covered every angle in the
event of litigation - this is part of that coverage. No one can say that
they were not made aware of the rules!
Out of necessity, and due to the prevalence of continued stealing of images
and other intellectual property, we are compelled to repeat that which is posted
throughout the internet, yet, strangely, appears to defy comprehension!
In spite of the sheer simplicity of things, people continue to believe that whatever can be found
on the Internet is Public Domain!
Perhaps they feel that their monthly payment to their Internet Service Provider
for dialup, their DSL, or, Broadband connection, entitles them to take whatever
they choose.
A recent classic statement that has been posted is
this little jewel..."If you do not want others to take your
images, don't put them on the internet."
It is difficult to believe that these words could actually be uttered
by any person, with an IQ above that of a box of rocks, in the defense of
online image stealing!
We pay for this site in order to offer assistance and communication to and with our
clients and colleagues, as well as to solicit clients for our business.
Unlike Spam and junk mail, we are not some intrusive entity that has forced its way into the
lives of others. Persons come to our site of their own volition.
One would think it is so degrading to people for the existence of threats of prosecution,
in order to force persons to comply with ethics and principles that they were,
more than likely, taught since birth!
At its discretion, ESP has made a generous number of items available for downloading.
You may use these files on a personal basis. These files may be used in your
personal graphics and on a personal web site. Any use at all, as long as you do
not take money away from our company in the process.
You will, also, need to give us credit for any of our images, or, other design
elements, that you have incorporated into a project, when applicable.
Instances in which this would apply are; for use on the internet, or,
in your church bulletin (and other non-profit literature whether electronic or print).
If you would like others to have copies of any of our downloadable files, please
direct them to our site. Do NOT transfer our files to them.
When our original site went online years ago, we had a similar set-up.
Unfortunately, there were no protective measures available at the time. As a
result, along with multitudes of others, ESP suffered great losses of company
products. It did not take long before the decision was made to halt all new
additions to the site!
Consequently, this affected the honest persons who were benefitting from
our generosity, as well as, those who were stealing.
There are NO gray areas in this matter. These are our PRODUCTS! And removing
images and other design elements, which are either not available for download,
or, downloading our products and claiming them as your own, is no different than
robbing any other retail business.
We sincerely want you to enjoy our design efforts by sharing some of our creations with you.
All that we ask in return is that you give credit where it is due and do not take our work.
